A copy of the full Uniform policy can be downloaded from the policies section on the school website. Springwood Junior Academy uniform consists of the following items;

Foundations (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 (Y1 and Y2)

• V-neck grey jumper (‘Springwood’ logo optional)
• Gold yellow polo t-shirt (with collar).
• Grey or black tailored trousers, tailored shorts, skirt, pinafore dress.
• Yellow gingham dress for the summer term only.
• Smart black shoes – plain black trainers are permitted; plain black boots may be worn in winter.
• Sensible hair accessories are acceptable (e.g small bobbles / clips / hairbands).

Key Stage 2 (Y3 - Y6)

• Black Blazer with the embroidered ‘Springwood’ logo on (the logo can be purchased separately).
• White shirt/blouse – long or short-sleeved.
• Gold and black striped tie (elasticated / clip-on).
• V-neck grey jumper (‘Springwood’ logo optional).

• Grey or black tailored trousers, tailored shorts, skirts, pinafore dresses.
• Yellow gingham dress for the summer term only.
• Smart black shoes – plain black trainers are permitted; plain black boots may be worn in winter.

• Sensible hair accessories are acceptable (e.g small bobbles / clips / hairbands).

• Black shorts.
• Gold round neck t-shirt.
• Springwood Junior Academy Rugby Top (Y1 and Y2).
• Black pumps or trainers (required for outdoor PE).
• Black jogging bottoms and a black jumper for winter months.

 Key Stage 2 PE kit

• Black shorts.
• Springwood Junior Academy Rugby Top.
• White round neck t-shirt (Summer months).
• Black pumps or trainers (required for outdoor PE).
• Black jogging bottoms/leggings and black jumper for winter months.

For all year groups, religious headwear must be black in colour.

The following are not acceptable:

• Shoes with flashings or trims, stilettos or shoes with high heels over 2/3cm, sandals, open-toed shoes, sling back or backless shoes. In severe weather conditions (snow) pupils may travel to school in wellington boots but must bring a change of footwear to wear during the school day. 
• Leggings (other than for PE) or branded clothing are not acceptable uniform items.

• Hats must not be worn inside the school building. However, woolly hats may be worn to travel to school and to wear at break times in cold weather and caps may be worn during break times in the summer to provide shade from the sun.

• Hair dyed in bright colours (e.g blue, green).
• Coloured nail varnish or false nails.
• Shaved heads.

We do not ask pupils to change their footwear every day, but if the weather is extreme – thick snow or torrential rain – we ask them to bring a change of shoes.   

Ordering Uniform

Please use the form below to order new uniform items from the school office. The order form can be downloaded and sent via email to info@springwoodacademy.org or printed and delivered by hand to the school office. Paper copies of the order form can also be collected from the main office or requested by telephone (0114 2872597). 

Please also be aware that we collect pre-loved uniform items which we donate to the local charity shop (Annies Store, 95 Rosegarth Avenue, Aston). Therefore, pre-loved uniform items can be purchased at a small cost when required.
